Our heaters emit Far Infrared (FIR) rays, which are a safe and non-invasive form of radiant heat. Unlike some other types of radiation, Far Infrared is non-ionizing and is widely regarded as safe for regular use. FIR technology has gained popularity in wellness settings such as saunas, hot yoga studios, beauty clinics, and health spas, where it is valued for its gentle warmth and potential therapeutic benefits.


Within the Infrared Radiation band, only Far-Infrared transfers energy solely in the form of heat which is received by thermoreceptors in the skin as radiant heat. This heat is absorbed by the human body, helping to soothe muscle pain and spasms, reducing inflammation, and aiding joint pain and blood flow.


Mid-infrared heaters are commonly used in outdoor spaces such as pub gardens and smoking areas, where effective spot heating is needed. These heaters emit a noticeable orange glow and produce intense radiant heat, which can feel uncomfortable at close range. While generally safe when used as intended, prolonged close exposure may lead to discomfort such as skin dryness or overheating.



Infrared heaters are maintenance free.

They don’t contain any moving parts and they don’t need a combustible fuel source. As a result, there’s not much to go wrong, they don’t need servicing and there’s no danger of carbon monoxide leaks.


If you’re looking for a quick way to calculate the cost of running infrared heating, here’s a simple way to work it out:


Heater Output (KW) x Cost you pay per kWh


So let’s say you:


  • Have a heater at 900-watts (0.9kw)
  • Pay £0.28 per kW for your electricity (Approx UK Average).


The calculation would be:


0.9kw heater x £0.29 per kWh = £0.25/hour


Compare this to a typical storage heater, (room size dependant)  we would replace a 2KW storage heater, with around 900-watts of infrared heat.


2KW heater x £0.29 per kWh = £0.56/hour
